Hypolipidemic drug and Contraceptive drug

Question At this time , I take two kinds of medicine:
               1. Lipid - lowering drug
               2. Birth control pills
I want to know the effect of using two drugs together and adverse effect of two drugs.

Answer  Dyslipidemia is a primary, major  risk factor for CAD and may even be a prerequisite for  CAD, occurring before other major risk factors come into  play. Epidemiologic data also suggest that hypercholesterolemia and perhaps coronary atherosclerosis itself are  risk factors for ischemic stroke. Increasing evidence also points to insulin resistance—which results in increased levels of plasma triglycerides and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and a decreased concentration of high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C)—as an important risk factor for peripheral vascular disease  , stroke, and CAD .

There are several classes of hypolipidemic drugs. They may differ in both their impact on the cholesterol profile and adverse effects. For example, some may lower the "bad cholesterol" low density lipoprotein (LDL) more so than others, while others may preferentially increase high density lipoprotein (HDL), "the good cholesterol". Clinically, the choice of an agent will depend on the patient's cholesterol profilecardiovascular risk, and the liver and kidney functions of the patient, evaluated against the balancing of risks and benefits of the medications.

The most common side effect of hypolipidemic drugs: Muscleaches or weakness (myalgia), rash, high blood sugar, high level of SGOT,SGPT(= enzyme of liver function)

Contraceptives are associated with a slightly increased risk of venous and arterial blood clots, slight weight gain, headaches, little menstruation. But severe side effect are rare.               Don't worry about the effect of the drug. If you have no abnormal symptoms, you can take these medicine narmally.               Most lipid-lowering drug, and oral contraceptives can certainly take together without any drug  interaction or may be a little.               To get the exact information, need to specify the name of oral contraceptives and a drug used  to reduce blood fat can be more clear

Nsaids with G6PD

Question: I am G6PD.  I have back pain due to sport since two days ago.  I used topical drug but it was not improved.  I want to take oral medication.  What medicine should be taken?
Answer: For back pain, you can take analgesics such as Nsaids as diclofenac, ibuprofen (both oral and topical) .  But aspirin should not be used (it causes bleeding).  You can use analgesic  in combined with muscle relaxant drugs such as  Tolperisone, eperisone or orphenadrine.  These medications with less risk to G6PD.

Precaution- The two main of adverse drug reaction (ADRs) associated with NSAIDs related to the gastrointestinal (GI)  and kidney. The drugs cause gastric bleeding and form ulceration in the gastric epithelium, and affect to renal function. Therefore This medication should be taken immediately after meals, and use caution in patient with renal dysfunction.

G6PD deficiency is an inherited condition in which the body doesn't have enough of the enzyme glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase, (or G6PD), which helps red blood cells (RBCs) function normally. This deficiency can cause hemolytic anemia, it usually happen after exposure to certain medications, foods, or even infections.
Most people with G6PD deficiency don't have any symptoms, while others develop symptoms of anemia only after RBCs have been destroyed, a condition called hemolysis. In these cases, the symptoms will disappear once  after the cause is removed. In rare cases, G6PD deficiency leads to chronianemia.

2% Ketoconazole shampoo

Wikipedia says that 2%ketoconazole shampoo can treat hair loss as well as 1% minoxidil lotion .  Both of them can make hair thicker. The drugstore use this medicine for this purpose, but product labels do not confirm this benefit.
 Report of ketoconazole is below

Ketoconazole shampoo in conjunction with systemic antiandrogens treatment has been used off label to treat androgenic alopecia. Its anti-fungal properties reduce scalp microflora and consequently may reduce follicular inflammation that contributes to alopecia. Furthermore ketoconazole blocks the local synthesis of DHT in the scalp as well as acts as a antagonist of the androgen receptor. Hence it has been hypothesized that ketoconazole when used together with systemic antiandrogens may result in a more complete blockade of androgen receptor in the scalp and consequently may lead to a more effective treatment of androgenic alopecia.

Limited clinical studies suggest that ketoconazole shampoo used either alone or in combination with other treatments may be useful in reducing hair loss.
